Classical/guitar, Jim Greeninger, Recuerdos de la Alhambra
Guitar/classical, Recuerdos de la Alhambra, by Francisco Tarrega. Jim studied for several years with Maestro Andres Segovia. The guitar Jim is playing was built by himself and was recorded directly from the Baggs pickup via wireless transmitter and a live performance mic in the hall. This is because of the number of children and noise in the theater. It seemed to be the best way to accomplish a good recording, however, it does often sound like you are directly next to the guitar. Also hear this great piece by Pepe Romaro, Christopher Parkening, John Williams, and Julian Bream.

Hi Jim,
I commented on your youtube video about the fingernails. The more I watch your video the more I really want to learn this. It’s difficult to find a tab that I can trust, but I’d be willing to purchase one if you had it, and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Conor.

Yes. Ricardo …
Yes. Ricardo Iznaola, pre-eminent virtuoso and pedagogue of the guitar, writes that the most common cause of dysfunction in guitar performance is the “maintenance, without release, of anti-gravitational effort in the right arm.” Holding your arm above the guitar creates muscular tension, which ultimately affects your hand’s ability to play. Even though it is necessary to momentarily lift the right arm for a change of position, the only way to relax your muscles is to rest the arm on the guitar.
