Cordoba C7 Classical Guitar, SP/IN


 

The Cordoba C7 features a solid Canadian Cedar or European Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. The top is braced with a 7 fan Torres style bracing system for a warm and resonant sound. The neck is made of lightweight Cedar, and the fingerboard is Rosewood. As a full size traditional Spanish guitar, the scale length is 650mm (25.6 inches), and fingerboard width at the nut is 52mm (2 inches). The C7 is handmade and includes several detailed refinements like an all rosewood binding with a maple and ebony inlaid purfling, rosewood bridge with bone saddle and rosewood & bone inlaid tie block, rosewood headstock veneer, and heel cap. The burgundy ring and mosaic rosette has been inlaid by hand is made using all natural woods. The gold tuning machines are floral engraved with black accents and ebonized buttons. Saverez Traditional trebles are made of rectified nylon which is characterized by a distinctive unpolished finish. This grittiness contributes to a lessening of the high overtones. I'd been playing the guitar for about a year on a steel string  acoustic when I decided to start playing classical so I bought a classical nylon guitar along with this method book from progressive. I had other progressive series books and primers, but for the classical guitar this was the best.This book has about a hundred pages or so of quality lessons and excercises.The book is all musical notations and fingerstyle lessons.It doesn't contain any TAB lines.It also contains a fretboard guitar notes diagram and a music glossary at the end of the book.If you have a passion to learn classical guitar this is the book for you.

This Carcassi study (Opus 60, No.3) for classical guitar is a little bit deceptive. Although it sounds very easy there are many technical requirements to make it “flow” and sound smooth and legato.

This easy piece by Carcassi for classical guitar is an excellent way to practice arpeggios. The pattern is a little unusualy i.e. p m i m a m i m. There’s two of those patterns per bar throughout the piece so you get a lot of consolidating practice in this particular pattern.

An Introduction to Classical Guitar by Masakazu Ito Matteo Carcassi Ferdinand Carulli

This is the trailer for “An Introduction to Classical Guitar: Establishing a Firm Technical Foundation”, a video intended for beginning students by Masakazu Ito, prologue in his Technique Series. Join Masa as he introduces the classical guitar, demonstrating fundamental classical guitar technique for both left and right hands, including proper rest and free strokes. Hand and finger strengthening drills are provided to help build proficiency and develop good tone. Practice with Masa as he performs essential exercises from Ricardo Iznaola’s Kitharologus® and Aaron Shearer’s Classic Guitar Technique®, Vol. I. Instruction culminates with two famous compositions: Andantino by Matteo Carcassi and Waltz in G by Ferdinand Carulli.

This DVD includes 48 minutes of insightful instruction. Follow Masa’s performance and musical analysis effortlessly using the interactive score. Observe his technique up close with extensive picture-in-a-picture features. Sheet music for Carcassi and Carulli is provided with the DVD in high-resolution PDF format, including fingering edits by Ito. Reference material for Iznaola and Shearer content is not included; students are encouraged to acquire both texts for use in conjunction with this video.

Masakazu Ito is recognized as one of today’s top guitarists, acclaimed by musicians, composers, conductors and critics for his mastery of the instrument and its repertoire.
