I play Canon in D on two guitars: classical ( pre-recorded ) and on my Gibson Les Paul Studio. This version is taken mostly from “Challenge the Masters” guitar book by John Tapella. My guitar lesson website: http://www.bobsguitarlessons.yolasite.com
A comedian rants about how much it sucks to play Pachelbel’s Canon in D on a cello. Recorded live at Penn State, this piece by comedian/musician Rob Paravonian has been a favorite on the Dr. Demento Show.
Hi there! I made this arrangement this weekend. Actually I was starting on an arrangement for Beatles “The Fool on the Hill” but ended up with this. Don’t ask me how. This is not exactly a “canon”. It’s more a Passacaglia. The “vamp” D A Bm F#m G D G A. is repeated all the time with variations. I hope you like my version. Sheet music and TAB’s can be purchased and downloaded at
Thanks to Marie for listening to me and making brilliant suggestions. You are my inspiration always! Kiss to you and hugs to all others Pelle
Tabs available at http://guitar.kunuk.dk with information on how to play with both fingers
